Reconstitution & Preparation

Hand Mixing Method

• Add 6ml bacteriostatic saline to the LENISNA® vial.
• Hand mix by vigorous side-to-side shaking for 3 minutes.
• Withdraw the mixture into a 10ml or 20ml syringe.
• Attach a Baxter connector.
• In a second syringe, add either:
• 4ml bacteriostatic saline to achieve a total volume of 10ml, or
• 10ml bacteriostatic saline to achieve a total volume of 16ml.
• Mix between the two syringes 20 times.
• Inspect the product. If any powder or lumps remain, repeat the mixing process.
• Once fully dissolved, the product is ready for use.

Vortex Mixing Method

For clinics using a vortex mixer, the preparation process follows the existing vortex protocol, replacing the manual mixing stage with 5 minutes of vortex mixing before final inspection and use.
